Road to the Champions League:  MSK Zilina had a long road to the Champions League.  They started with a 2nd qualifying round game versus Maltan team Birkirkara losing the road match 1-0 and winning the home match 3-0 moving them on in aggregate goals, 3-1.  They then played Bulgarian football club Litex playing to a draw in the first match 1-1 and winning the home match 3-1 moving over with an aggregate 4-2 advantage.  They drew Czech football club Sparta Praha in the playoff securing the bid with a thorough domination winning 2-0 on the road and 1-0 at home.
