The runners-up to the Bundesliga champs, Bayern Munich, Shalke 04 is struggling in domestic play.  They were given a reasonable group in CL play with semifinalist Lyon as the major competition.  Won the group in relative ease to the suprise of many.  Expect a kitchen sink attitude of throwing everyone and everything in the CL competition.  As it looks now, this will be a one and done CL showing due to the hole Shalke is currently in domestically.  Huntelaar has been the magician on the pitch scoring a team leading 3 goals but if advancement is in the cards, expect Raul to play a major part.
