Blackpool was brought back to earth with a resounding defeat to Arsenal. Arsenal scored 6 goals coming from, Theo Walcott (3), Andrei Arshavin (1), Abou Daiby (1), and Marouane Chamak (1).
Blackpool made it interesting until the red card of Ian Evatt which resulted in the penalty goal from Arshavin. Once that goal made it 2-nil, the game opened up more and the rout was on.
Arsenal will face Blackburn next saturday in week 3 action. Blackpool will have a midweek game on tuesday facing English One League squad, Milton Keynes Dons in a Carling Cup match. Then will face Fulham in their next Premier League game.
