Greatest Players in EPL history.

Who are the greatest players in EPL history? Our friends at Bleacher report have a list, so lets look at the top ten after the jump...

10.  Frank Lampard-- Barnstorming all-around midfielder with an eye for goal.  Teams: Chelsea (played for West Ham but never in the EPL), 106 goals.

9.  Wayne Rooney-- Fabulously gifted striker who can do it all. Two feet, genuine pace, and ruthless in front of goal.  Teams: Everton and Manchester United, 107 goals.

8.  Patrick Vieira-- Dominant World Cup-winning midfielder who set the tone for Arsenal.  Teams: Arsenal and Manchester City, 31 goals.

7.  Paul Scholes-- Arguably one of the most consistent performers in EPL history. Still scoring goals and dictating the midfield for Manchester United.  Teams: Manchester United, 102 goals.

6.  Eric Cantona-- Mercurial Frenchman who arrived at Old Trafford for £1 million and inspired his teammates to success.  Teams: Manchester United, 64 goals.

5.  Alan Shearer-- All-time EPL top scorer with 260 goals, Shearer could score from almost anywhere.  Teams: Blackburn and Newcastle, 260 goals.

4.  Peter Schmeichel-- Great Dane who kept guard as Manchester United went about winning everything.  Teams: Manchester United, Aston Villa, Manchester City, 42% clean sheet ratio.

3.  Steven Gerrard-- The term '"all-around player" was seemingly invented for Stevie Gee, who's pretty much got it all.  Teams: Liverpool, 80 goals.

2.  Thierry Henry-- Pace, guile, genius footballing brain. At his best, Henry destroyed defenses and made it look effortless.  Teams: Arsenal, 174 goals.

1.  Ryan Giggs-- Giggs entered the EPL as an electric winger drawing comparison to George Best. Nearly two decades on, the 36-year-old has reinvented himself as a playmaker in central midfield. The 2009 PFA Player of the Year has won 11 EPL titles, four FA Cups, and two Champions League titles. Not a bad haul.
Teams: Manchester United, 109 goals.
